DPT Diversity Committee

Who are we?!

We are a group of Regis DPT students focused on building awareness, accountability, and activism related to social justice issues in our profession and beyond.  To this end, we 1) organize, promote, and attend related educational events on and off campus, 2) foster conversations with our class on issues of diversity and social justice, 3) hold ourselves and our university accountable for acting in alignment with our social justice values, and 4) partner with other groups and organizations to promote social justice in our profession and beyond.

Each semester we want to focus on one aspect of diversity.

This semester is all about how to get involved. Because you have no excuse to not get involved!

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?'” -MLK

Here’s what to look forward to from our committee:

  • Selected speakers committed to diversity in the field of PT hosted by Regis throughout the year
  • Spanish Lunches: applying foreign language acquisition and practice to clinical skills and management. Bi-weekly.
  • We will be working with the Ministry Committee to put on an event focusing on learning, acceptance, spirituality and appreciation. Date TBD
